Sue Ireland
Sue Ireland, Ph.D.
Executive Director of the Eisenhower Cooperative

Sue Ireland is the Executive Director of the Eisenhower Cooperative. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Marquette University, a Master of Science Degree from the National College of Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Loyola University. Sue is a member of the Executive Board of the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education. In addition, she has served as a peer monitor for special education compliance visits for the Illinois State Board of Education and chaired the committee to develop standards and a certification structure for future special education directors. Sue has taught many graduate level courses in the field of special education and has presented at a number of state and local conferences.

Carol Costello

Carol Costello is the Professional Development Coordinator for the Eisenhower Cooperative. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University, two Master of Science Degrees from Northern Illinois University, and a Doctor of Education Degree from Loyola University. She is a member of the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education, National Staff Development Council, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and numerous divisions of the Council for Exceptional Children. Carol provides consultation with local school districts regarding behavioral issues of students within their home school environments.

Shawn Fornek

Principal of the Developmental Learning Program

Shawn Fornek is the Principal of the Developmental Learning Program, a program for elementary aged students with multiple disabilities. Shawn also supervises the Cooperative's Assistive Technology Team. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University and a Master of Science Degree from National College of Education. She has served as a peer monitor for special education compliance visits for the Illinois State Board of Education. In addition, Shawn has co-developed with representatives from neighboring Cooperatives the IEP forms that are used throughout our area.

Supervises the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Vision, Occupational and Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology Programs

Peg Singleton supervises the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Vision, Occupational and Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology Programs. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Illinois State University and a Master of Science Degree from Governors State University. Peg is a member of the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education. She is secretary/treasurer for the Illinois Supervisors of Programs for Hard of Hearing and Deaf Individuals. She has served as a peer monitor for special education compliance visits for the Illinois State Board of Education. Peg has presented at local, state, and national conferences on various topics related to the field of Instruction, Supervision, and Deaf Education.
